The Lightning Seeds, Embrace, The Wonder Stuff, Jesus Jones and many more announced for Minehead in November 2019

Some of the best indie and dance acts of the last 30 years – including headliners The Lightning Seeds, Embrace and The Wonder Stuff – will perform live at the Shiiine On Weekender at Butlin’s Minehead resort from November 15 to 18 2019.

As well as the three acts that will headline on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, there is a stellar supporting line-up which includes Detroit house legends Inner City and a rare live outing for electronic dance band Apollo 440, ensuring the weekend has something for just about everyone.

Friday night’s headliners are iconic Liverpool band The Lightning Seeds. Fronted by Ian Broudie, they’ve achieved no less than 12 top 20 UK hits including Pure, Change, Lucky You and The Life of Riley.

The Saturday will see Embrace headline the Main Stage. The Halifax band are celebrating 20 years of their massive debut album The Good Will Out this year so expect to hear the hits such as All You Good Good People and Come Back To What You Know.

On the last night of the weekender, headlining will be The Wonder Stuff, whose hits include The Size of a Cow and Don’t Let Me Down, Gently – they also topped the charts with Dizzy which featured Vic Reeves on vocals.

On the dance stage, Inner City – famous for UK Top 10 hits Big Fun and Good Life - will be performing live in the UK for the first time in 20 years. In addition Apollo 440 bring their unique blend of big beat, trip hop and electronic rock which produced hits such as Stop The Rock, Ain’t Talkin ‘bout Dub and Lost in Space.

There is tremendous strength in depth to the Shiiine On Weekender line-up, as other bands performing live include Cast, Jesus Jones, Pop Will Eat Itself, Reverend and The Makers.

As well as a true feast of live music, there will also be exhibitions, talks, cinema screenings, pool parties and pop up shops – and access to everything is included in the price of the break, which starts at £209pp based on four people sharing Silver self-catering accommodation.
