Swedish metal group Meshuggah has been announced as the headline act for ArcTanGent 2024, the independent festival's 10th-anniversary edition at Fernhill Farm in Somerset from Wednesday14 - 17 August. Meshuggah's performance on Friday night (August 16) will mark their only UK live show of the year. Joining them on the same stage are LA band Animals As Leaders, serving as sub-headliners and presenting their sole European performance of 2024.

The diverse line-up includes fan-voted set by And So I Watch You From Afar, a farewell show by Three Trapped Tigers, a UK festival exclusive by Red Fang, and performances by Plini, Bossk, LLNN, Night Verses, Textures, Conan, Gallops, and Curse These Metal Hands. The festival promises a unique blend of metal acts, culminating in Meshuggah's highly anticipated appearance as the headliner on Friday night. This announcement has generated excitement among fans, as Meshuggah and Animals As Leaders contribute to the festival's vibrant atmosphere.

Festival booker and organiser James Scarlett has shared his excitement about the first headline announcement, saying:

To celebrate our tenth birthday we wanted to invite back some of our all-time favourite bands from over the years.  We drew up a list of all the bands that have ever played ATG that we’d like back and, as it was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen at ATG, naturally Meshuggah was top of that list. Animals As Leaders last played way back in 2016 so they weren’t far behind! We’re stoked to be welcoming both bands back in even bigger fashion than last time, to celebrate 10 years of ATG.
