Ludlow arts Festival has confirmed the line up for Sunday 6 July 2014 including David Essex, Showaddywaddy & Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers.

Over the course of a forty-year career which has spawned sixteen Top 40 albums and nineteen Top 40 singles, David Essex OBE has become a living legend in the world of pop music and musical theatre. Now he will bring his unforgettable catalogue of hits, from Rock Onto Hold Me Close to Gonna Make U A Star, to Ludlow for this historic show.

Having put their own inimitable spin on covers of many of the biggest hits from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as mastering their own brand of Teddy Boy Rock’n’Roll, Showaddywaddy also come to Ludlow boasting an immense collection of hits including Hey Rock and Roll, Three Steps to Heaven, I Wonder Why and Under the Moon of Love.

The bay City Rollers became a worldwide phenomenon when they first hit the big time in 1974 with hits such as Bye Bye Baby, Shang A Lang and I Only Want to Be With You. Four tumultuous decades later and Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers continue to spread the joy of “Rollermania” in what promises to be an incredible exhibition of live music.

These musical giants will combine to form the biggest ever spectacle to take place in the breathtaking grounds of Ludlow Castle for a night of magic, followed by a magnificent fireworks display.

Ticket are also available for the final show announced to play at the fabulous Big Top Theatre, a double bill of comedy and ventriloquism from Mock the Week regular and master of the one-liner Milton Jones and the country's leading ventriloquist Paul Zerdin. Performing in the Big Top Theatre on Wednesday 2 July.

These performers will join KEN DODD, RAY MEARS, FASCINATING AIDA, JIM DAVIDSON, MARTY WILDE & THE WILDCATS, SOOTY, BELLOWHEAD and some of the country’s finest Jazz and Blues musicians, including RUBY TURNER, JACQUI DANKWORTH and COURTNEY PINE at the 2014 Ludlow Shakespeare & Arts Festivals.  Full listing of events and times here
