This year’s Ludlow Arts Festival will run from 28 June to 6 July and follows the Ludlow Shakespeare Festival which will be staging AS YOU LIKE IT from 14 to 22 June. First up is JAZZ & BLUES SUNDAY AT THE CASTLE; a full day of unmissable acts paying tribute to these stunning musical traditions, and featuring some of their finest exponents, taking place in the Big Top Theatre on Sunday 29 June.

Session one features Gareth Williams and Liza Pullman, Digby Fairweather’s Half Dozen and the legendary Jacqui Dankworth, while session two features a tribute to Jazz legend Tubby Hayes by contemporary favourite Simon Spillet, as well as performances from Ruby Turner and Courtney Pine.

Both sessions are available to purchase separately or combined as a special All Day Pass.

Also just announced; one of the country’s most successful and popular stand-up comedians, JIM DAVIDSON, who arrives in Ludlow on Monday 30 Junefresh from his victory in the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, and no less unflinchingly forthright than he has been throughout his entire forty-year stand-up career.

Another musical legend, from among the first true British pop stars in the tradition of American Rock and Roll, MARTY WILDE has been blazing a trail through popular music for over half a century. Now, with the help of his band of troubadours, The Wildcats, he takes a stroll through his vast catalogue of hits and the rich, vibrant musical history of Britain itself in what is sure to be fantastic evening in the Big Top Theatre on Thursday 3 July.

These great acts will be joined by another television and stage stalwart, and everyone’s favourite yellow bear, Sooty, whose eponymous family caper, THE SOOTY SHOW has been delighting fans of all ages around the world for over sixty years and shows no signs of slowing down yet.

Sooty, joined by Sweep, Soo and the rest of his hilarious gang, comes to Ludlow on Saturday 5 Julywith a brand new adventure that promises to be a spectacular mix of magic, music and mess.

These performers will join the likes of KEN DODD, RAY MEARS, FASCINATING AIDA and BELLOWHEAD at the 2014 Ludlow Shakespeare & Arts Festivals.
