Bearded Theory 2017 Preview

The excellent Bearded Theory festival returns to Catton Hall next weekend (Thursday 25th May 2017) for their 10th Anniversary bash.

Bearded Theory, consistently rated by our Festivals For All reviewers as one of the best events on the festivals circuit, has once again sold out all tickets for the 2017 bash… So please be advised that there are no longer any tickets available in advance, or on the gate.

Festivals For All reviewers love this event and consistently rate Bearded Theory as a benchmark event in the small-medium festival category… it really is rather good and we think, for a festival of this size, it sets the bar in many areas for others to follow. Check out our Review of Bearded Theory 2016 for just a taster of what this year’s sell-out crowd can expect.

This year is their tenth anniversary, and in what is now firmly established as a four night event, the organisers are treating the Thursday night crowd to a virtual re-run of the very first festival line-up with the likes of Dreadzone (LIVE), 3 Daft Monkeys, Tarantism, True Deceivers, and Hobo Jones & The Junkyards Dogs treading the boards to get the weekend off to a flying start.

Once again Bearded punches above its weight with a line-up that features Madness, Seasick Steve, Skunk Anansie, Slaves, The Alarm, Ferocious Dog, Jaya The Cat, Flight Brigade, Kassasin Street, New Model Army, African Head Charge, The Mocking Jays, Sugar Hill Gang & Furious Five, The Selecter, Goldblade, and Cast among a wealth of other top artists across multiple stages at the excellent Catton Hall site in Derbyshire.

The music is not the half of it of course – there are oodles of non-music delights to feast your senses on over the weekend. The various bars are wonderful scenes, and remember at Bearded that you can not only take alcohol onto the campsite – but also into the arena too! Please do support the bars mind to ensure this splendid event rocks on for another ten years!

There really is something for everyone, with the entertainment on offer to the younger element a particularly strong point. Always innovative, Bearded will once again be hosting the Bearded Theory School, a marvellous idea which surely deserves to be replicated across the festival landscape.

Festivals For All will again be covering this great kick-starter to the 2017 festival year – If you missed out for this year’s bash - do remember to book early for 2018!
