The Big Beach Ball Festival 2014 Overview

The Big Beach Ball returns to Aberdeen Beach Ballroom and surrounding area. Snuggled along the Promenade with sandy beaches as far as the eye can see, this one day festival will open its doors 1pm-midnight, Bank Holiday Sunday 4th May, closing with after parties across town until the early hours.

On a picturesque coast of Scotland, once crowned the UK’s sunniest city by the Met Office (yes really), Aberdeen opens the summer season at one of their most iconic, historic and underused locations. With a total capacity of around 2,000 music fans, The Big Beach Ball utilizes the Ballroom like never before.

International artists, world renowned DJs, the cream of Scottish bands and party starters, vintage clothing markets, craft stalls, food and drink on site supplied by local restaurateurs and chefs, boutique cocktails and numerous bars across the arena are just the beginning…

This is unquestionably the first of its kind for the North East, giving the region an event it has craved for years, helping to revitalize Aberdeen Sea Front with cutting edge production and worldwide attention.

Doors open at 12pm on Sunday 5th May and last entry to the event will be granted at 9pm, with the event finishing at 12am.

Artists booked to appear include: Kerri Chandler, Green Velvet, Mylo, Admiral Fallow, Fatherson, Harri and Domenic, Optimo, Malcolm Middleton, Mungos HiFi, Krystal Klear, The Ok Social Club, Pictish Trail, Silicone Soul and OOFT
