Throw coloured powder, dance, drink, and be joyous! Inspired by the original Holi in India, the HOLI ONE Colour Festival travels around the world. The whole of the UK can look forward to painting the town red, as well as blue, yellow and green next year, as HOLI ONE Colour Festivals has announced a 17 city UK tour, commencing in June 2014.
Thousands of people, preferably dressed in white, will come together to share music, dance, performance art and visual stimulation. Colours are the most joyous part of the Holi celebrations. They add life and vitality to the festival, making it most vibrant of all.
A special moment of the festival is the first count down, when all the people throw the colour in the same moment; the sight of the festival is beautiful to watch, as people at the open-air festival will soon be covered in brilliant colours, and the air is filled with the clouds of bright powder and the cheerfull mood of the people.
The festival will host a line-up of some of the established DJ's in the country and a host of the freshest and most impressive new DJ’s exploding onto the music scene.
HOLI ONE is celebrated from 12:00 to 22:00, sometimes followed by an after party in a local club in the surrounding area.
