Fantastical Fieldview Festival

Grass roots music festival Fieldview announces Willy Moon, Nextmen and Bondax as headline artists for 2012. Fieldview festival brings the sleepy Wiltshire village of Little Somerford alive every August with the sound of up and coming British Music (2nd -5th Aug).

The 2012 headline artists have been a highly guarded secret, but we are excited and delighted to announce three artists that will be adding to the already audible feast of foot stomping circus swing to dinner party dub line-up.

Straight from his new home in London, we have New Zealander Willy Moon and his 60s rock infused electro blues. His music is sharp and quirky, as is his image and stage persona. Willy gained notoriety in 2011 with ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’2 and since, his album has been widely anticipated. Willy is an exhilarating prospect and will give Fieldview fans a glimpse of the future.

Co-headlining is Bondax, made up of Lancastrian teenagers George Townsend and Adam Kaye. The duo produce simmering and evocative music that drifts between post-dubstep, R&B, and garage. The pair’s music glistens with a maturity and sophistication that belies their age. They will undoubtedly have the Fieldview crowd floating to ‘Just Smile For Me’ and 2012s ‘All Inside’.

Lastly, co-headlining are the Nextmen, Dom Search (aka Dominic Betmead) and Brad Baloo (aka Brad Ellis) although not “technically” new music, the Nextmen are veterans of filling the dance floor with mash-ups of the most banging recent tunes. Known for incorporating eclectic hip-hop drum sets and electronic basslines into their sound, the Nextmen have worked with many artists from the UK and US music world and guarantee to fill everybody’s fun quota.

In total, Fieldview has over 70 bands playing, with a slightly increased capacity of 3,000, making 2012 set to be a greatest place to discover new music, share and try new experiences with new friends.

Why only watch when you can play? In between all the great music, why not take part in on of the Samba workshops, Swing Dancing lessons, Yoga / Tai Chi that will be dotted around the festival.

Thursday will be a Comedy Night, followed by the obligatory fancy dress Friday, with a theme of ‘Myths and Fairytales’ and look out for Poetry by Indigo Williams and Harry Baker (UK National Slam Champion 2011).

Aside of all the great music and arts on show, Fieldview would like to again thank those that make this festival possible. Fieldview is a festival run by a band of friends/volunteers who give up their time to make it such an incredible experience, which also allow the festival to donate the bulk of their profits to charity. Without them, there would be nothing.
