ARCANE ROOTS are set to release their long awaited debut album ‘Blood And Chemistry’ on May 6th through Play It Again Sam (Ghostpoet, Gallows, Andy Burrows).

This outstanding debut follows on from the reissue of their much lauded mini-album ‘Left Fire’, which came out last year in 2012.

- Produced by Dan Austin (known for his work with Pure Love, Doves, Pulled Apart By Horses and more)

‘Blood And Chemistry’ track-listings:

1. Energy Is Never Lost, Just Redirected
2. Resolve / 3. Belief
4. Sacred Shapes
5. Hell And High Water
6. Triptych / 7. Slow
8. Second Breath
9. Held Like Kites / 10. You Keep Me Here

It’s hard to fully describe ‘Blood And Chemistry’ without doing it a huge injustice.

Over its 10 tracks (plus 2 ‘hidden’ tracks), it has vital and vibrant rock with huge ambition (‘Tripych’, ‘What Keeps Me Here’), progressive and heavy hardcore with touches and brushes of genius (‘Energy’, ‘Second Breath’), stadium ready sing along anthems in the making (‘Belief’, ‘Slow’, ‘Resolve’), slow, acoustic moments of clarity and beauty (‘Held Like Kites’, ‘Winters Wept’ pt 1 and 2). Within all of these songs though, and the rest of the tracks that make up ‘Blood And Chemistry’, the listener will pick up even more new, compelling and surprising elements upon each listen.

Live wise in the last year, ARCANE ROOTS have supported both Twin Atlantic and then Dry The River, as well as headline their own Kerrang! Magazine award show in London (their 2nd such show). They have also played the likes of Hevy Festival, 2000 Trees, Sonisphere, Liverpool Sound City, Camden Crawl, Y Not, Hit The Deck and many more. They only just completed a European tour as main support to AWOL NATION (Jan/Feb 2012), and can now announce a full May UK headline tour, including a very intimate, home town album launch show in Kingston on May 1st at New Noise club night, and an earlier acoustic in store performance at banquet Records.
