De Montfort Hall is now recruiting volunteer stewards for Summer Sundae Weekender, which takes place from 17th – 19th August. In exchange for a few hours work volunteers will receive a weekend festival ticket, camping ticket and even meal vouchers.

Volunteer stewards will work alongside De Montfort Hall staff and undertake a wide range of duties to help make the festival a safe and visitor friendly event. Specific duties may include stewarding the main arena, checking tickets, aiding concert goers with directions or helping on the wheelchair platform. Working on a rota system, volunteers must complete 2 8 hour shifts during the weekend and will be asked to provide a refundable £70 deposit. This will be refunded upon completion of the shifts.

De Montfort Hall’s Front of House Manager, Andy Gillespie said, “This is a great opportunity for people to get involved with one of the best festivals in the Midlands. Through volunteering you will get to experience the festival from a different point of view, whilst also having bundles of time to enjoy the acts with your friends.”

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over and people from all walks of life are encouraged to apply. To apply please visit the De Montfort Hall website at www.demontforthall.co.uk and head to Contact > Volunteering.

Summer Sundae Weekender takes places between 17th – 19th August and will host acts including Katy B, Public Image Ltd, Ocean Colour Scene and Adam Ant.
