Tropical Pressure Festival 2015, have announced the final addition to an exceptional live music line-up, that includes the Twinkle Brothers, Ebo Taylor as  African Head Charge. This globally-acclaimed, pioneering dub-reggae ensemble is led by master drummer Bonjo Iyabhinghi Noah and was co-founded by the legendary producer Adrian Sherwood. The collective blend live sounds with electronic, to generate an intoxicating sound-scape of reggae-inflected drumming, visceral vocals, and throbbing bass-lines that truly reach to the heart of your being.

Other bands heading to the Roots Arena during the course of the weekend include Manteca, Kobo Town, The Fontanas, United Vibration, Batch Gueye Band, Diabel Cissokho, Lionhat, Dakar Audio Club, Shanty, Dojo and Two Man Ting. 

During the day, acoustic and local acts will perform in the stunning outdoor Amphitheatre. Late night sounds at the festival will be found in the subterranean world of Fandangos, which will come alive from 10pm with sound-system vibes and extra-special guests such as Dj Cal Jader (Movimientos), John Warr (Absolute Radio), Duncan Brooker (Strut Records) and live dub collective Kibir la Amlak.

The free workshop programme for the festival has also been finalised, with drop in sessions including Argentine Tango, Caribbean Costume Making, Aerial Acrobatics, Tropical Growing, Drum Making, African Dance, Gospel Singing and Tribal Mask Making. There will be plenty to keep the Kids busy too with sessions all day in the Kids’ Zone.

The 100% Vegetarian event will offer a chance to taste flavours from around the world in the Global Street Market, with stalls serving Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, Thai and Caribbean delicacies.

New additions on the site for 2015 include the Rambunctious Boogaloo Bayou. Hosted by Devon’s most creative party organisers, the Rambunctious Social Club, this groovy and colourful space will be filled with the cream of Tropical DJ’s and a cocktail of creatively curious playthings, in a 3 day heady brew of exotica, tasty Tropicalia, jumping jive, and interactivity.

And those looking for a bit of quiet reflection are well catered for too, with daily Yoga, Tai Chi Qi Gong and the brand new Wellness Retreat offering drop in massage, kinesiology, homeophaty and other great treatments.

Tickets for the festival cost £70 for the weekend (Kids’ half price) and include 3 nights camping on site at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan. Day tickets are also available.
