T in the Park fhave today announced that local lads The View will make their 8th appearance at the festival in July.

The band are set to release their heavily-anticipated fifth album later this year which has been given the studio polish from co-producer and international star Albert Hammond Jr of the legendary band The Strokes. Their first single off the record is called Marriage and due out 20th April, produced by Albert Hammond Jr & Gus Oberg (The Strokes) and mixed by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend).

Kyle Falconer from the band said: "Just found out we've been announced and am absolutely buzzing! T in the Park is our favourite festival and has always supported us. It's a pleasure to play to such a fun crowd, you can't beat a Scottish crowd! Bonus that we'll get to see The Libertines too..."
