This weekend sees the start of what is often referred to as Britain’s South by By South West, yes The Great Escape returns to Brighton, with over 300 artists performing in pubs, clubs and arena’s throughout Brighton.  In addition to the live music the great and the good of the music industry music meet for a number of workshops throughout the weekend, the results of which will inevitably have an impact on the artists we see and listen to.

The festival is world renowned  for identifying artists from around the world who have been given their chance and have subsequently become massive, these include the likes of:
Bon Iver, Adele, Tinie Tempah, Mumford and Sons and Ed Sheeran.

This year, the organisers have spread their net far and wide to find the best up and coming artists from around the world, many of which you will see being added to festivals line ups in coming months.

It would be wrong to say that The Great Escape is just about new artists as there is no shortage of familiar names booked too, including Maximo Park, Temper Trap, Maverick Sabre, Dry The River & Reverand & The Makers.
