Now in its’ seventh year, Guildford’s most established and respected alternative, independent live music venue, The Boileroom, will be hitting the road and setting up camp at Redfest, curating a stage as part of the two-day festival at Robins Cook Farm in Redhill.

The Boileroom has a national presence as a destination venue for emerging touring acts as well as well-established stalwarts like Ed Sheeran, The Bronx, First Aid Kit, Lucy Rose, Kate Nash, and The Selector to name a few, at affordable prices. Not just known for their eclectic music programme, The Boileroom also works within the local community as much as possible, curating The Guildford Fringe Festival, Guildford Beer Festival, hosting a show on Kane 103.7 FM, hosting Artisan Markets promoting local designers and makers, as well as hosting All Ages events, to bring the arts to the local area.

Dominique Frazer Director at The Boileroom explains “It is a first for The Boileroom to be involved in a festival on this scale, we wanted to support a local independent event. Redfest has continued to grow each year with bigger and better line-ups as well as supporting local musicians, and we are very excited to be involved for 2013 – bring it on!”

We are so excited to announce our full line-up with The Other Tribe, and Ryan Keen headlining the stage. All the acts featured on our stage we have spent a long time working with and building up a strong relationship, and are delighted our stage can offer them another platform to perform.

We won’t just be bringing music to the festival, we have been working in association with the organisers of the famed Hundred Watt Club to bring you the After Dark Cabaret! When everything seems to have quietened down at the end of each day, festival goers will be invited to cosy up at The Boileroom stage to enjoy the secret pleasures of the 'After Dark Cabaret'! Expect quirky striptease, comedy, bawdy songbirds and good old fashioned music hall. A veritable banquet of sexy, silly, decadent entertainment!

We will also be screening Subsource: A Dubumentary into the wee hours of the morning. The feature documentary depicts the European concert and festival tour of UK band SUBSOURCE. Their music encapsulates dance, punk rock, drum & bass, electro and dubstep. Often compared with The Prodigy & Pendulum, SUBSOURCE have a unique stage presence and their live shows have been described by BBC "A live electronica dance band who are loved by those who know and are about to be adored by those who don't."

Director & Editor Colin Arnold spent over a year and a half on the road with SUBSOURCE capturing all the excitement, chaos and humour of their European tour. Cameras rolled across the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany. Witness a rollercoaster of emotions as an independent band tries to break into the industry. Subsource will also be playing the Rock Stage on Friday, and the DVD will be available to purchase from the merchandise area.
