Tenth edition of Deer Shed will see headline performances from Anna Calvi and Ezra Furman Posted on Wed 5th December 2018
also appearing are Akala, Sunflower Bean, Gruff Rhys and many more
Festivals For All's favourite family festival Deer Shed has revealed its first wave of artists for its tenth edition that takes place from Friday 26th - 28th July in the stunning Baldersby Park, North Yorkshire. 2019 will see a return for Anna Calvi as Friday night headliner, Ezra Furman as Sunday night headliner and a host of other artists, including Akala, Sunflower Bean and Gruff Rhys.
Also appearing on the bill are BC Camplight, She Drew The Gun, Pins, Charles Watson, Tiny Ruins, Tom Williams and many more.
Deer Shed is unlike other 'family' festivals, for starters there's no kids areas, so everyone can join in everything whether that's one of the many workshops, lectures and of course the live music.
Our review of this year's Deer Shed described the festival as 'the ultimate family festival, one that is friendly, relaxed, spacious, with a massively eclectic musical line-up and so much entertainment for the kids that you’ll never hear “I’m bored’
Deer Shed Festival director Oliver Jones said:
“It was clear to us when we watched Anna Calvi headline our alternative stage in 2016 that her ability to write powerful and poignant rock songs, shred the guitar and command a festival crowd would make her an excellent choice to headline the Deer Shed Main Stage at some point in the future.”
It’s now our belief that Anna Calvi has grown into one of the most exhilarating performers the UK live scene has to offer and, after the release of ‘Hunter’ in August, she went straight to the top of our list for 2019.”
