The T in the Park Road show kicks off on Saturday 4th May 2013 and is set to bring a taste of the festival to towns and cities across Scotland over the next two weeks.

A top line-up of solo artists, bands and spectacular cabaret acts are gearing up to tour the country including The View, Josh Record, Vigo Thieves, The LaFontaines and Sienna, plus a glittering array of cabaret acts will bring a snapshot of what’s in store at T in the Park’s 20th year celebrations. With exclusive performances atop the famous Scottish Sun bus in Hamilton, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Ayr.

The T in the Park Roadshow kicks off in style on Saturday (4th May) with Brixton based singer-songwriter Josh Record set to play an exclusive set in Hamilton, on Castle Street, just off Palace Grounds Road. His self-penned and produced debut EP Bones reached the number 2 spot in iTunes’ singer-songwriter chart. Radio favourite For Your Love – mixed by Mike Crossey who worked with the likes of Jake Bugg and The 1975 – has been heralded by Zane Lowe and Annie Mac on Radio 1.

Next stop is Glasgow, with T in the Park favourites The View set to treat fans to exclusive gigs in Kelvingrove Park and at the top of Buchanan Street on Monday 6th May. The Dundonian chart-toppers have compiled some of their finest moments to date on their Seven Year Setlist album, set for release next month, and will showcase new material plus classic anthems from their back catalogue. Magician The Great Aziz will also be on hand to treat crowds to classic conjuration and illusion.

On Friday 10th May, the T in the Park Roadshow rolls into Edinburgh, with the hotly tipped Vigo Thieves in tow. Within the past year, the band have packed out the BBC Introducing Tent at T in the Park, opened for The View, played to sell-out crowds in Glasgow, and been named as Ones to Watch in 2013 by the Scottish Sun. They’ll visit Queen Margaret University’s Student Union, alongside renowned burlesque artist Aurora Winterborn, to bring a taste of T in the Park to the capital.

On Saturday 11th May, the T in the Park Roadshow heads to Dundee, with the country’s hottest new party band The LaFontaines set to bring their fresh and utterly infectious sound to the city’s Overgate Centre, whilst dancers from Crossfire Cabaret will add a touch of glamour. Combining Hip-Hop, Rock and Pop into one genre mash-up of brilliant noise, The LaFontaines have supported the likes of Example and Twin Atlantic, and their track Under The Storm featured as the soundtrack to T in the Park’s 20th year line-up announcement video.

On Sunday 12th May, the T in the Park Roadshow visits Aberdeen, with a performance from Sienna, who hail from T in the Park’s own hometown, Kinross. Fresh from selling out two shows at Glasgow’s King Tut’s, the band’s powerful harmonies and energetic songwriting make them this summer’s must see new band. Little Rich Boy and Believe are stand out tracks from their EP showcasing their soulful vocals and rich harmonies. Dancers from Crossfire Cabaret will also give a spectacular performance. The final stop on the tour is Ayr’s train station, on Saturday 18th May. Glasgow's own all-singing diva trio The Redettes will perform their acclaimed mash-ups of retro classics and contemporary pop hits, with details of another performer set to be revealed very soon.

Festival Director Geoff Ellis said: “With T in the Park’s 20th year fast approaching, we wanted to do something special to kick start our celebrations. We’re going to be bringing a taste of the festival to cities and towns across Scotland with the T in the Park Roadshow, and have some fantastic artists lined up. Please do come along and see us if you’re nearby!”
