Stendhal Festival of Art this year celebrates its third birthday on August 16 and 17 and have today announced the initial plethora of acts taking to the stage at Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, in just under three months time.
Artists appearing on the bill at this year’s festival will include the Multi-award winning and Multi- Platinum selling Irish singer-songwriter Paddy Casey, current lead singer of 10CC, Mick Wilson and Celtic rock legends More Power to your Elbow.
Sticking to the Stendhal mantra of providing something for everyone, the Line-up has been carefully pieced together to cover as wide a range of genres as possible from Ska Punk courtesy of Pocket Billiards, to an Opera showcase in association with Opera NI featuring some of Irelands top young opera talents.
Rock, pop, funk, jazz and blues, indie, acoustic, folk, Reggae, country, hip-hop, punk, metal, classical, choral, bluegrass, poetry, comedy and much more will also be showcased over the weekend thanks to the following artists;
Little Bear, Trucker Diablo, Rainy Boy Sleep, Axis of, Paul Casey, The Bonnevilles, Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas, Paul Casey, Malojian, Sons of Calibre, Our Krypton Son, Furlo, Triggerman, Wyldling, Amidships, The Clameens, De Fuego, Droids, Rurairi and the Owls, Chris Keys, August, Edwin Brooks and the Burning Glass, Intermission (unplugged), Antidote EmCee Showcase, The Steve Experiment, Alana Henderson, Limavady Big Band, John Deery and the heads, Ria Maguire, Susie Blue, The Encore contemporary Choir, Juma, Stumblebums, Tommy Shots, Brolly’s Harp School, Hidden Highways, Badgerdan and more to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the fantastic music on show over four stages, Stendhal Festival will also play host to a varied family programme of events for the kids to enjoy, art work, sculpture, a craft market, digital art installations, a fun fair and much more which adds up to make Stendhal Festival of Art the best value for money weekend around.
Commenting on the line-up, event organiser Ross Parkhill said: “We are delighted with how the line-up is looking so far. We have a great mix of established artists and up and coming new talent which will combine to provide the most solid line-up our festival has seen to date.
