xLast year at the Electric Picnic they erected two giant screens either side of the Comedy Tent and this year may well see the return of them again for the newly announced comedy line-up.

Confirmed today is Simon Amstell making his Picnic debut, also announced is David O Doherty, Seann Walsh Jason Byrne, Rubberbandits, Abandoman, David McSavage, John Colleary, Patrick McDonnell, Steve Frost Improv Allstars, Aisling Bea, ‘Foil Arms and Hog’, Eleanor Tiernan, Chris Kent, Jarlath Regan, Colm O’Regan, Karl Spain, Colum McDonnell, Fred Cooke and Eric Lalor.

The Electric Picnic Comedy tent always likes to nurture and help new talent and this year is no exception with Al Porter, Kevin McGarhen (Presenter of the Republic Of Telly), Tomie James, Trevor Browne and Steve Bennett all getting to perform on the biggest stage of their careers so far. MC for the weekend Danny Dowling, whose own previous appearances at EP have entered into comedy folklore.

The Comedy Tent runs from 1.15pm -9pm each day on Saturday Aug 30^th and Sunday August 31^st
