London dance quartet Rudimental will be special guests at the Eden Session headlined by Example on Saturday June 30.
The group replace Devlin who was originally scheduled to perform at the show but had to pull out due to other commitments.
The Hackney foursome, otherwise known as Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor and DJ Locksmith, topped the charts earlier this month with their drum ‘n’ bass anthem Feel the Love featuring vocals from John Newman.
Rudimental have also remixed Ed Sheeran’s track Drunk and are working on a remix of fellow Sessions artist Labrinth’s forthcoming single.
Each Eden Session will feature a jam-packed programme of live music taking place over three stages. Ambient jazz and electronica outfit Marconi Union will be playing on the Mediterranean Biome’s Biotik stage on the afternoon of Example’s show. Henry Binns of Zero 7 fame and Eden Sessions veteran Dante Gabriel will also be playing DJ sets.
There will be a host of up-and-coming local music on the Stage Right Stage from Plymouth singer-songwriter and guitarist Aaron Douglas, to hip hop and drum & bass band Running Numbers, master of the dub, ska, hip hop and swing mash-up DJ Tenoshi and Falmouth based drum & bass DJs Seraph & R4wLoop.
The Example Eden Session will be followed by a special Folk Session on Sunday July 1, headlined by Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls with performances from Stornoway, Bellowhead, the Mull Historical Society, the Staves, Seth Lakeman and Dodgy.
On Wednesday July 4, Chase & Status will headline at the Sessions with special guest Labrinth. In the Mediterranean Biome, T, otherwise known as Tom Dinsdale, will be playing the Biotik stage along with a set from Indian Queens, a collaborative that specialises in electro bass fuses with dub, dancehall and acid house.
On the Stage Right Stage, people will be able to see sets from DJ Tenoshi and Seraph and R4wloop, as well as a special performance from the as yet unannounced winner of the this year’s BBC Introducing competition.
Martin Williams, Eden’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “The addition of Rudimental to the bill for Example’s headline show on June 30 is very exciting and adds another element to what is already our most diverse Eden Sessions line-up yet.
“The Sessions are truly one-day festival experiences. As well as top-name headliners, we have entertainment taking place each afternoon across multiple stages.”
Also playing this year’s Eden Sessions are UK soul and hip-hop star Plan B (Friday July 6), Blink-182 (Sunday July 8 - SOLD OUT) and indie stars Noah and the Whale and The Vaccines (July 11).
There are still some tickets left for the Sessions at a special price of £20 plus a £5 booking fee (excluding Plan B and Blink-182). To book, click HERE Box Office 01726 811972
