Rudimental will no longer be performing at Brownstock Festival. Part of the band were due to perform a DJ set, the other members of the band were performing at a festival in America. Due to recent successes in the states they have taken the decision to cancel the show, and perform a full live set in the US.

Rudimental had been confirmed since May. Brownstock were informed that they were forbidden contractually from announcing this performance until 22 July, post their performance at Lovebox this year. They waited for this date, releasing the performance as requested.

Here is an official statement from Rudimental:

“It is with regret that Rudimental have to cancel their forthcoming appearance at Brownstock. This is through no fault of the promoters of the event, and is due to a major US touring commitment We are hoping to make it up to everyone in 2014”

They are extremely shocked and disappointed that at such short notice they have taken the decision to play elsewhere during the weekend. This is a decision that was completely out of their control. They are more than happy to answer questions about the situation, and the full Brownstock team will be available on Twitter from 18.00 – 20.00 this evening to answer any questions our festival goers might have.

Another slight change is that The Cuban Brothers can also not make their show, but will be back next year as one of the Brownstock favourites.

Since hearing the news regarding Rudimental’s cancellation they have been making it their business to make sure this cancellation doesn’t take anything from the festival experience and have worked all hours to bring to 2013 festival a new Saturday night headliner.

They are incredibly excited to welcome one of the biggest names ever to play Brownstock. Fresh from his appearance at Glastonbury we welcome Professor Green to the 2013 line up. He will headline Saturday at the festival on the mainstage.

With a back catalogue of hit singles, a double gold certified album, a Facebook and Twitter following bigger than some counties, you can rest assured we will be rolling out the red carpet. They say every cloud has a silver lining, and this one comes in the form of a set from one of the biggest rappers in the UK right now.

Adam Brown Festival Director said: “We were obviously extremely disappointed to receive the statement from Rudimental. It was a massive shock to the team. As a small independent event fighting for the best line up possible is always a challenge, but we are so excited to have been able to replace them with such formidable name. Professor Green will be an amazing finish to Saturday, one that the whole team will make sure they don’t miss.
