Guitar-laden roster of South West talent to feature on The Sett Stage
It was in the first year of its previous incarnation as The Battleground that two Farmfestivallers wandered through the tent on their way from the main stage to the bar, witnessed the guitar work on stage and exclaimed, “Oh, wow, it’s a ROCK tent.” The name may have changed for 2014, but you can be assured the ROCK is most certainly still in place.
Friday sees Somerset’s three piece the Hartletts, Glass City Vice and Finches Fly, Seafoam and Awaken the Silence. There’ll also be some proper old-school skate punk from Don’t Do Tuesdays and a slightly more relaxed strumming from the winner of the Some-r-set 4 talent contest Tolly Snell.
Saturday will begin with chilled-out acoustic sets that were such a hit last year, with tunes from locals Bob Gallie, Lazy Daze, Mr Keep Calm and the Cancelled Cheques, Foreign affairs and Chris Millington. Following on will be Glastonbury’s Entangled Band and blues from Swampgrass before it all kicks off again with Elly Tree, Billy in the Low Ground, Jesus Christ Superstore and Tattsyrup.
