More major names have been announced for The Cambridge Folk Festival

The original line-up of British folk-jazz supergroup Pentangle who are appearing in only a small number of special shows this year; internationally renowned blues, soul and r&b band The Robert Cray Band in an exclusive English festival appearance; premier Nigerian afrobeat exponents Femi Kuti & The Positive Force; NME Award-nominated folk/punk singer songwriter Frank Turner; innovative multi-instrumental group Penguin Cafe, incorporating the music of Penguin Cafe Orchestra plus adding fresh material; BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Good Tradition winners Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends, makers of the biggest selling traditional folk album of all time, in one of only a small number of shows outside Cornwall this summer; and critically acclaimed Irish singer songwriter James Vincent McMorrow.

They join previously announced Laura Marling, Richard Thompson, Newton Faulkner, Chris Wood, Bellowhead, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kate Rusby, Raul Malo and The Secret Sisters. Further names will be announced shortly.
