This special festival announces its line-up for their Spring Event.

Our FFA reviewers simply love this festival (and the OTT Summer sister event!). Read what we thought of previous year’s Off The Tracks events under Latest News by following the ‘More Details’ link below.

Festival favourites THE POPES head the latest list of artists announced for Off The Tracks Spring 2013.

They join the previously-announced headliners Alabama 3 and Salsa Celtica, and will close the festival on Sunday, May 26. One further Special Guest slot is yet to be announced.

The Popes were originally formed by Shane MacGowan when he recorded to his solo album The Snake after leaving The Pogues. They included guitarist Paul ‘Mad Dog’ McGuinness who, following the sad death of Popes banjo god Tommy McManamon at the end of 2006, reformed The Popes with a new line up of fantastic and experienced musicians.

Also announced today is the return of Dub Pistols, in the form of a Friday night DJ set from main man Barry Ashworth. In band mode, Dub Pistols headlined the Spring festival last year and, due to phenomenal demand, returned to headline again for the Summer festival in September.

Barry says: “Off The Tracks was brilliant for us in 2012 and it’s fantastic to be coming back again for a DJ set.”

Merry Hell will be using the festival appearance as a launch gig for their second album, Head Full Of Magic, Shoes Full Of Rain. And reforming folk-rock outfit Neverland will be making an appearance at one of the festivals where they originally made their name.

Off The Tracks runs from May 24-26 in a beautiful farmland setting at Park Farmhouse, Isley Walton, near Castle Donington. In addition to 40+ acts on three stages, there are excellent family-friendly facilities, 70+ real ales and ciders and top quality catering. Weekend tickets, which include camping and parking, are now on sale priced £75 for adults and £40 for youths (12-16).
