Three-time MOBO Award nominee Fuse ODG and Best Newcomer contender, Jahmene Douglas are the newest acts to be added to the heavyweight line up confirmed to perform at this year’s 18th anniversary MOBO Awards.  Both stars join Iggy Azalea, Laura Mvula, Rudimental, So Solid Crew and Tinie Tempah as confirmed performers with three more exciting acts to be revealed shortly.

No stranger to the arena stage, X Factor finalist and gospel sensation, Jahmene will be bringing his unique and soulful tones to the stage during the ceremony with a unique performance that has been months in the making! Following the release of his Number 1 debut album ‘Love Never Fails’, Jahmene will be vying for the ‘Best Newcomer in association with HTC’ award at this year's ceremony.

Waving the flag for Africa, Ghanaian born and London raised Fuse ODG has taken the UK pop charts by storm this summer with his smash hit single ‘Antenna’ which peaked at number seven and reached number one in the iTunes chart. No stranger to the arena stage, X Factor finalist and gospel sensation Jahmene will be bringing his unique and soulful tones to the MOBO stage during the ceremony with a unique performance that has been months in the making! Both exciting new artists are set to blow us away with their energetic style of performance at the newly built, SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow.

This year’s categories see the likes of Disclosure, Naughty Boy, Rudimental and Wretch 32 in the running for awards, with Laura Mvula and Wiley in the lead with four nominations each. Each category is now open to the public vote which can be placed at www.mobo.com/voting2013.

As a UNESCO city of music, Glasgow enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the world’s top music destinations.  The MOBO Awards return to Glasgow for the third time as the result of a very successful partnership between the MOBO Organisation, EventScotland and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau. The Awards will be the first multi-artist, televised event at the brand new SSE Hydro.
