Field Day are warmly welcoming back Metronomy after 2 years to headline the main stage on the Saturday at the 2014 Festival. Spring 2014 sees their highly awaited return with their brilliant new album 'Love Letters'.

Metronomy's Joe Mount says: "I'm very, very excited (about playing Field Day). It's the first time we've officially headlined a festival so it's a big deal for us...It was a really, really nice experience last time so we are very much looking forward to it"

Listen here to a very special Field Day Radio episode hosted by Field Day co-founder Tom Baker, featuring exclusive interviews with Metronomy's Joe Mount and Omar Souleyman.

Metronomy will be joined by an eclectic line up which includes LA four piece Warpaint, who's new, highly-anticipated self-titled album will be released in January. Also on board are pop starlet Sky Ferreira in anexclusive London festival appearance, Detroit rapper Danny Brown, the brilliance of Melbourne rock foursome The Temper Trap, ethereal rockers Money, and South-African band John Wizards, who are praised for their magical sound of 1970s Lagos psych-funk meets Brooklynite chillwave and indie R&B.

Also confirmed are Syrian wedding-singer-turned-dance music-idol Omar Souleyman, 2013 Mercury prize nominee Jon Hopkins, Brooklyn-based electronic innovator Oneohtrix Point Never, Hyperdub's seductive R&B singer Jessy Lanza, and rising producer and Hotflush/Aus regular George Fitzgerald. Also Fabric resident and purveyor of electronic psychedelic sounds Daniel Avery, and cosmic creative head of Border Community James Holden, who will be playing a live set at Field Day.

They are very excited to announce a special b2b set at Field Day 2014 from Innervisions' founders Dixon & Ame (b2b) with more exclusive b2b sets being announced soon.

World music has always played a significant part in Field Day's line up and we are honoured to welcome Seun Kuti, son of legendary Afrobeat inventor Fela Kuti to Field Day. Seun will be performing alongside Fela's Egypt 80

Field Day will be expanding to a two day event in 2014. Field Day will be held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2014 at its homein Victoria Park in the heart of East London. Pixies will be headlining on Sunday on Sunday 8th June.

Promoter Tom Baker of Eat Your Own Ears says: "It's very exciting to finally, after 7 years, make Field Day into a weekend event of great music. Whilst Saturday will remain true to form with a full on day of brilliant artists playing across multiple stages, Sunday 8th June will be lead by the iconic band Pixies, who I've been a massive fan of since I first heard Doolittle at the ages of 16! So its amazing to have them headline Sunday 8th June, alongside a line up of fresh new music on the main stage and secondary tent."
