The Masked Ball organisers are planning for their 10th anniversary Summer event, taking place between 20th-22nd may 2016 at Porthleven. Tickets for the event are now on sale  along with a new 3 day camping ticket.

This year more than 100 artists will perform across a multitude of individually themed arenas. Full line up details will be announced shortly. 10 years Masked Ball creator Kelvin Batt set out to rewrite the dance music rulebook by creating two of the biggest ‘off-the-wall’ parties in the UK.

From humble beginnings, Cornwall’s Masked Ball and The Halloween Masked Ball have grown to become two of the most trailblazing, immersive music events in the UK. The events have grown in stature and now encompass innovative audio-visual design and installations, out-of-this world special effects and world-class DJs and performers.

Designed to be completely independent and unlike all other festivals, The Masked Ball not only features original top-flight dance talent music but also a plethora of idiosyncratic arenas. Bursting with originality, the event is becoming increasingly known for its ‘masked’ attendees, who come decked out in incredibly elaborate costumes.

Over the last nine years, top flight DJs and performers who have played at the Masked Ball include Grandmaster Flash, Sister Bliss, Groove Armada, Joey Negro, Ben Pearce, Yoda, Norman Jay, Phil Hartnoll (Orbital), Bonobo, Andrew Weatherall, Norman Jay MBE, Simian Mobile Disco, Rob Da Bank, Nightmares on Wax, Stanton Warriors, Craig Richards, Portishead’s Andy Smith and many more.

The event announcement follows the acclaimed Halloween Ball which saw more than 6,000 revelers dress up, get down and go wild to soul-blistering headline sets from High Contrast, London Elektricity and Fred V & Grafix. The also event featured incredible performances from the likes of Danny Byrd, Etherwood, DJ Format, MJ Cole, Bodhi, Nu: Tone, Coco Taxi and many more.

For 2015, the team transformed Flambards Theme Park into an elaborate underground Halloween lair dedicated to everyone's favourite '80s vamps, 'The Lost Boys’. Fans from all over the UK were transported into imaginative and immersive film set of illusory horror. The Ball's creative team designed and built over a dozen arenas of gore-splattered mayhem, set to a soundtrack of brain-busting dance anthems - and with a surprise around every corner.

Event organiser Kelvin Batt said:We’re thrilled with the success of this year’s event. This is the biggest the Halloween Ball has ever been, and we went to town transforming Flambard's Theme Park into an immersive film set of funk, fun, freakshows and frights. The performers put on a brilliant show - it was just one absolutely epic party.

"We’re now busy plotting some mind-blowing ideas for our 10th anniversary - it's going to put the May into mayhem and the Ball into ballistic!

"We're also really excited to introduce an all-new 3 day camping ticket, so get involved, and help us celebrate 10 years of beautiful madness.”

Last year saw the super early-bird tickets sell out in less than hour. Demand is always high, but with the Halloween Masked Ball still fresh in party-goers memories, this year the early birds look set to fly out quicker than ever.
