Lunar Festival returns once again to the spiritual home of the late and lamented Nick Drake in Tanworth in Arden at the beginning of June.

If it comes anywhere near to being as good as the 2015 bash then it promises to be an absolute cracker after last year’s event had our Festivals For All reviewers in raptures.

“Lunar is an absolutely excellent little festie. Indeed, as relatively seasoned reviewers, we would rate Lunar as one of the most imaginative and creative events for its size that we've ever had the pleasure to attend.”

Give the FFA Lunar Festival 2015 Review a read to capture just a flavour of the delights in store for this year’s lucky punters. Our guys were simply blown away by the ambition and scale of this event given its relatively small size. How the organisers managed to cram so much quality across the artist roster, the non-music activities, and the whole festival package, into one short weekend is one of life’s little mysteries. There is a great vibe to Lunar – something money just can’t buy. It just all works together.

The artist line-up this year is strong with the likes of Super Furry Animals, Mercury Rev, Television, Badly Drawn Boy, The Zombies, Os Mutantes, Matt Berry and The Maypoles, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Ibibio Sound Machine, Bill Ryder Jones, Amber Arcades, Bangkok Paradise Molam International Band, Martin Carthy, Alessi’s Ark, The Mariachi’s, Josefin Orhn + The Liberation, Victories At Sea, and Ashley Hutchings, regaling the crowd over a packed weekend.

That’s not the half of it, of course. The festival simply bursts at the seams with activities and workshops. As for the kids – they have a separate field to be, well, kids in. As our reviews noted, the non-music malarkey would do credit to a major festival, at an event like Lunar its all rather staggering.

Oh, we forgot to mention the excellent beer by the good people at the Purity Brewing Company, and did we mention …. You get the picture!

Festivals For All are lucky enough to be reviewing this great little festie again this year, and believe us, it will be excellent.
