All bands will be finished for 9pm at these venues and the festival will close with Sour Cherry taking to the stage of The Walkabout at 9.10pm. Singer Kortni Turner said “We are so looking forward to playing the festival, it’s such a cool idea and we want to finish off the day with a big party”

Kortni  told us her lyrics refer to Shakespeare, Sweeny Todd and Charles Dickens. While at the same time she drops in references to Lambrini, over protective parents, staying up late and missing school”  Often likened to Lily Allen and Kate Nash for her acerbic observations coupled with an irresistible pop sensibility.

Before Sour Cherry take to the stage the draw will be made for the winner of an acoustic guitar donated by Tanglewood Guitars in conjunction with CAM Music Store and will be presented by the legendary Rocky Shades of Wildside Riot.

Sour Cherry, recent winners of Best Band Award at the Sheffield Music Scene Awards will be releasing their debut EP to coincide with their headlining appearance and there will be a launch party held in Rebeccas following the show at The Walkabout.  Singer, Kortni, and the boys will be signing CD’s and the EP will be played in full to a large and expectant crowd.  Festival Volunteers will also be treated to food and drink as thanks for their efforts during the day.

Organiser Dave Pearsall told us “We are so grateful for all the support, time and help given to us by the bands, the venues, local businesses, sponsors, advertisers, the police, local media and of course family and friends.  Without them, this would have remained a pipe dream but now we are so excited and can’t wait for the festival to begin.  When it’s all over we can all celebrate at one of the after show parties that will be taking place at all the venues taking part and the music will continue into the early hours.”

One Day, One Life, Enjoy (Please note:- There is no public funding or local authority involvement in the festival)
