The team behind LeeFest, “the UK’s Best Independent Festival”*, is once again on the look out for the most promising undiscovered musical talent OF 2014. The non-profit event has a history of spotting potential early on. In 2011, London-based success story Public Service Broadcasting played their first gig at LeeFest.
Lee Denny, who founded the festival (then in his back garden) eight years ago, knows how important his event is as a platform for undiscovered talent:
“It’s brilliant that LeeFest can give these young and upcoming artists the opportunity to play alongside established industry names. In the last few years we’ve had local and unsigned acts on our poster next to bands like Bastille and London Grammar – creating that mix is what we work hard for and it’s never going to change.”
Unsigned artists have until midnight on Monday 24th February to apply online and be part of the LeeFest ‘Noise Collective 2014’, and play alongside a line up that has been shortlisted for awards in both 2013 and 2012**. Artists can apply through the LeeFest website or click here to apply now.
LeeFest is on the 11th, 12th and 13th July this year. Early bird tickets have sold out. Adult weekend tickets are currently on sale priced at £70 here.
