Latitude Festival released details of more artists for this year's event including Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, The Jayhawks, Chrissie Hynde and Augustines.
The Augustines said "We are super proud to be playing the BBC 6Music tent at Latitude festival this year. We've spent many months improving our live show so expect some nice surprises! Festivals are very unique and each one has their own little charm. Latitude 2012 was really fun for us. Not only was it slightly humorous to see the pink sheep wandering around but we all enjoyed the quaint little boat ride which we were privileged to take to get us to the stage. The great thing about Latitude is it’s vibe. It’s a big festival but there is a great sense of community and intimacy. Hopefully the weather will be as glorious as it was the last time. If you see us walking around, come and say hello…. if not, we’ll see you down the front."
Chrissie Hynde comented “Latitude is turning into one of the great British festivals. The site and the atmosphere really make it a very special weekend, so of course I am particularly looking forward to playing there this year. When The Pretenders played there in 2009 it was amazing and this year should be even better. I’m very happy to be back!”
Other artists announced today: Rhodes, Tycho, D.D Dumbo, Vaults, Solomon Gre, Years & Years, Elliphant, Childhood, Future Islands, MNEK, Syd Arthur and Danni Nicholls.
