Preparing to take over Dalston on Sunday 5th May, LAND OF KINGS has released the final wave of artists set to perform this year multi-venue showcase.
Top of the list of newly added acts is kaleidoscopic electro wunderkind Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, clocking off from his globetrotting live schedule for a special DJ set. Since playing the first LAND OF KINGS in 2009 with Greco-Roman, T.E.E.D aka Orlando Higginbottom has remixed the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Professor Green as well as putting out his critically acclaimed Trouble album an infectious slab of dance floor pop that earned its place onto pretty much every Best of 2012 list worth mentioning.
Among the final live acts added will be the classically trained, Ninja Tune signed post-dubstep producer Raffertie. Arriving with a slew of bass heavy offerings that pricked the good ears of Mary Anne Hobbs, Simon Reynolds and Rob da Bank, Raffertie prepares to air his new, altogether smoother compositions on the 5th May. Also added to the bill for The Castle Stage LAND OF KINGS new specially produced outdoor venue is Landshapes. Formerly Lulu & The Lampshades and creators of the 3 million view YouTube hit You're Gonna Miss Me, the band's irresistible harmonies will open the festival, as they take to the stage at 2pm.
Elsewhere, the eagerly awaited line-up for BUGGED OUT 10 X 10 is announced in which ten DJs play their ten all time favourite dance records. Taking a break from putting on London?s best monster raves and their own sold-out Weekender festival, 10 x 10 sees BUGGED OUT host a much more intimate space and pick up the party vibes where their annual New Year's Day bash left off. DJs include Croydon's prodigal son Skream, the man from UNKLE James Lavelle, glitch-pop jock Riton and tech-house purveyors Krankbrother. Dalston basement party pioneers Disco Bloodbath and History Clock honcho Nathan Gregory Wilkins weigh in, as do acts already announced to play the festival Hannah Holland, Kiwi, Dan Beaumont and Tayo. Confirmed to headline the Wicked Wicked party, Hackney rave legends and proto-junglists Shut Up & Dance complete the 2013 line-up with a special Heritage Set.
