Inspired by the hedonistic, swinging atmosphere of the one American city that survived the great depression. Rest assured this is not another vintage dance party as Kansas Smittys bring their live music spectactular, world renowned Mint Juleps and tasty Tamales to the expansive Vaults under Waterloo Station as they kickstart 2014's Vault Festival season.

The Kansas Smittys House Band is formed of the finest soloists and band leaders in the country. Once brought together onstage create the most swinging music ever seen or heard. Filling dance floors with an unparalleled atmosphere from Peckham to the Cotê D’Azure, Kansas Smitty's now heads deep in the vaults of Waterloo for one hell of loud, bold and brassy party.

Just up the street is Smittys Julep Bar where there will be bespoke takes on the most classic of american cocktails. Working closely with friends Four Roses to create a list of minted, muddled and steeped tasty infusion to keep all those dancing feet going through the night.

The legendary Tamale Shack will be pitching up its pine lined posterior and serving up the finest corn "masa" wrapped street food in the capital. A range of hot, sweet and savory tamales steamed to perfection and served with a range of hot sauce's or a cooling sour cream if the dance floors got you in a sweat.

Take a walk back down main street and try your luck at the KSino with Kansas Smitty's very own roulette table or try your hand at black jack to win prizes through out the night and inject some post Xmas risk back in your life.
