The ACOUSTIC FESTIVAL of BRITAIN have announced that John Smith, the Outcast Band, and the legendary Otway and Barrett will play this year's festival on  Sat 31 May.

John Smith will be seen on the lunch time set in the Big Top with his trio. This guitar genius will be singing from his hugely influential and respected album…   GREAT LAKES

A little while ago he recorded title track ‘Great Lakes’ for Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show. Well, the gentleman has included it on his ‘Saturday Sessions’ CD, out March 24th.

John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett are to play together in a rare festy appearance at this year’s Acoustic Festival of Britain on Saturday 31st May at Uttoxeter racecourse….  

Having shot to fame on the old grey whistle test in the 70s ‘Both John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett went their own ways only an occasional pairing up again over the past few years for a short lived  tour. They remain enigmas to the vast majority of the British public, but for those who know they are amongst the top ten of favourite artists to see live. The show is a wonderful eclectic mix of bizarre humour, superb visual effects, fine guitar playing and the best use of a Theremin anywhere. This is a show to put a smile on your face.

Festival favourites The OUTCAST Band have also been asked to return after a two year absence from the festival. The bouncy 5 piece Celtic band have had resurgence in recent years after a 10 year gap. They have released a new album “The Longest Mile “ and will be touring in the autumn.
