The Irish Festival Awards have announced the winners for its seventh year. A time to acknowledge and reward the hard work and efforts by all behind Ireland’s rapidly growing festival circuit.

This year welcomed a number of new and exciting nominees from Groove festival in Bray and Longitude, to Big House in Castletown House and Samhain Festival in Glendalough. With increased nominees comes greater competition, so the public was called on to cast their vote and make it count.

Voting ended on January 31st, but fans are still in with a chance of winning tickets to some of Ireland’s coolest and best festivals on the Irish Festival Awards Facebook page until the end of the month.

Despite some amazing contenders there can be only a select few winners. The winners in their respective categories are –

Best Large Festival: Electric Picnic

Best Medium Festival: Longitude

Best Small Festival: Stendhal Festival of Art

Best One Day Festival: Arthur's Day

Best New Festival: Longitude

Best Line Up: Electric Picnic

Family Festival Award: Electric Picnic by Cherrycool Promotions, the organisers behind the Castlepalooza Music & Arts festival. For this reason, Castlepalooza is excluded from the awards.
