Camp Bestival ShropshireCamp Bestival Shropshire is gearing up for its third year with an exciting line up and an array of family-friendly activities. Scheduled for Thursday 15th - Sunday 18th August, the festival promises an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

The headliners for this edition include the iconic Faithless, the pop sensation Paloma Faith, and the beloved Rick Astley from the 80s, 90s, and 00s era. Other notable acts include McFly, Orbital, Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, and rock legends The Darkness. Festival co-curator Rob da Bank expressed enthusiasm about the line up, emphasizing the diverse musical offerings and promising an unforgettable time.

Faithless, with Rollo and Sister Bliss, will pay tribute to the late Maxi Jazz in a special live set. Pop Queen Paloma Faith is set to make her Camp Bestival debut, while Rick Astley will bring his decades-spanning musical catalogue to headline the event.

Embracing the Time Travel theme for 2024, McFly, named after the Back to the Future character Marty McFly, will make their Camp Bestival debut. Orbital, known for rave classics like 'Halcyon' and 'Chime,' will also join the stellar lineup. Jake Shears, co-lead vocalist of Scissor Sisters, promises to captivate the audience with his Cabaret powerhouse vocals, and The Darkness will energize the crowd with hits spanning over 20 years.

The festival extends beyond music, offering an array of family-oriented activities. Attendees can indulge in Parkour & Freerunning, Football Club, Synchronised Swimming, Lifeguard Classes, Wall Climbing, Mermaid School, Figure Drawing, and even free haircuts. The festival, created by families for families, aims to provide something for everyone, ensuring the best Camp Bestival Shropshire yet.

In addition to the musical headliners, the festival will feature rising talent like Say She She, Flowerovlove, The K's, and Coach Party. The Cuban Brothers, Big Fish Little Fish, and Junior Jungle will return to bring their unique energy to the ultimate family festival holiday experience.

Homegrown talent from Shropshire, including Miles Hunt and BBC Radio 6 DJ Chris Hawkins, will add a local touch to the line up. BBC Radio 2’s Sara Cox, Craig Charles, and Gok Wan are also set to entertain the crowd with their performances.

Families attending Camp Bestival Shropshire can expect a jam-packed schedule of activities, including performances by Horrible Histories: Rotten Royals, Brainiac Live, Dick and Dom, and various entertainers like Mr Tumble, Mister Maker, Mr Motivator, and The Pop Bingo Disco.

To enhance the festi-holiday experience, Weston Park will offer a variety of new activities, all included in the ticket price. From Parkour & Freerunning to Mermaid Lessons and Synchronised Swimming, families can immerse themselves in screen-free fun across the expansive festival grounds. The new Explorer’s Passport encourages families to participate in various activities and collect stamps, highlighting the value for money aspect of the weekend. Camp Bestival Shropshire is set to be an action-packed celebration of music, culture, and family fun in the heart of Shropshire.
