Honeyblood have been confirmed along with another wave of acts to play at this summer’s Electric Fields.

The Glasgow-based duet of Stina Tweeddale and Shona McVicar have been compared to Best Coast, The Breeders and Haim. Recording their debut album last November at the legendary producer Peter Katis' Tarquin Studios (Frightened Rabbit, The National, Interpol), this will be their 3rd trip to Dumfriesshire after playing The Solus Tent at The Wickerman Festival last summer and Dumfries Music Conference in November.

Also added are  Woodenbox with a Fistful of Fivers, United Fruit,  Jim and a brace of local acoustic artists, Zoe Bestel, Nicola Black Band, Spartan Tartan, Sticks & Stones and Alex Maxwell.

Electric Fields booker Chay Woodman said “From the line-up that we already have with the likes of Fatherson and Neon Waltz, again, by adding fantastic bands such as Honeyblood, we’ve shown that there’s more to festivals in SW Scotland than what’s been expected. We’re doing it the way we want, which is how it should be. New Scottish music is vibrant and alive and we’re bringing it to the hills of Dumfriesshire. And we’re not even done adding bands yet.’

Recent from the ashes of Comlongon Rocks rises ELECTRIC FIELDS and a unique, unexplored home nestled in the idyllic setting of Drumlanrig Castle, South West Scotland. Organisers have worked tirelessly to put together a formidable line-up of musical talent at a ticket price that’s kind on the music-loving pocket. Organisers believe Electric Fields will be a hugely significant event both for Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish music calendar.
