A Sensational line up will present hip-hop, R&B/Soul and rap numbers as part of Gaywise FESTival 2013 music performances. GFEST is recognised as London’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) cross art festival for all.

This year the festival has a broader theme: ‘Art Riots – positive contributions by diverse artists in the community’. The festival will take place at Bernie Grant Arts Centre in Tottenham, London, UK from 7 to 9 November.

GFEST 2013 Noisy Bytes on 9th  November: GFEST 2013 star performers include Dean Atta, a performance poet who is well known on the London’s poetry scene, and EvOn Musicbully, a hip hop artist who has enjoyed a successful performing and recording career. Other artists on the bill include QBoy, a pioneer of “homo-hop” and Naechane Valentino, an award winning hip-hop artist who has made two albums in an inspirational and blossoming career.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson said in his message of support to GFEST, ‘The GFEST — Gaywise FESTival encourages cultural change by challenging misconceptions about the LGBT community, raises awareness about social issues, promotes greater understanding, and inspires creativity.’

The festival comprises of a screening of films, star–studded music performances, creative workshops, a Bollywood themed party and a visual arts exhibition at the North London venue.  GFEST has announced UK Black Pride as the main community partner for the 2013 events.

Gay Art Festival in London To Present Critically Acclaimed Movies in Tottenham

A North London based arts Charity Wise Thoughts organises and delivers the LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex) cross-art annual November event GFEST – Gaywise FESTival.

The GFEST 2013 Film screenings feature prominently a diverse selection of movies to ensure that there will be something for films buffs of all kinds. Screenings include some London and the UK premieres : My Genderation – Alice, Bumming Cigarettes, Miss Nizhoni, Hide & Seek, and The New Black – with plenty of awards and critical acclaim between them, they are bound to impress.

Workshops precede the film screening and a Q & A is planned with some filmmakers after the screenings.
