In its 11th year, Heineken Open'er will be the first virtual Polish Festival following in the footsteps of the likes of Coachella, Primavera Sound and others

Heineken Open'er | Gdynia | Poland | 4th - 7th July 2012

Open’er will be not only the first major Polish festival, but also the first Polish event ever to be transmitted on an online platform, following the likes of American Coachella and Bonnaroo, Spanish Primavera Sound and Sonar Festival, as well as Portugal Rock in Rio. The transmission starts on Open’er’s YouTube channel youtube.com/opener from the very first concert – July 4 at  5 pm CET. Live streams will include performances from New Order, Bloc Party, penderecki//greenwood, Orbital, Gogol Bordello, Major Lazer, Julia Marcell and more.

“Heineken Open’er is an experienced festival with audience from all over Europe. We are very happy that this year’s edition and performances from great artists like Bloc Party, New Order or penderecki//greenwood will be available for audiences worldwide thanks to YouTube. Using the best practices of international events, we would like to introduce these solutions in Poland” – says festival Promoter MikoÅ‚aj ZióÅ‚kowski.

The channel will also feature exclusive festival footage. Take part in this virtual festival!

Taking place on the spectacular disused air-field in Gdynia, Poland from 4th-7th July, Heineken Open'er boasts exceptional value for money with tickets starting at just £33 for one day in what is arguably the most comprehensive music and culture line-up anywhere on the European festival circuit.

As well as one of the biggest line-ups available in Europe, Open'er also features a sublime programme of visual art, theatre and film and is working with a host of leading curators. Open'er recently cemented a low level partnership with London's prestigious Central St. Martins College of Art & Design that will see one budding fashion student win the opportunity to show their latest collection on the purpose built Open'er catwalk, while the festival is also working with Poland's Museum of Modern Art to curate an extraordinary visual art exhibition and Planete Doc, Europe's largest documentary film festival who will be curating a mini version of their critically-acclaimed event. Tickets are on sale now.
