Green Man Festival has announced the return of Einstein’s Garden this summer with a magnificent medley of music, theatre, comedy, film, poetry, games, talks, walks and workshops exploring their most intriguing theme yet: SECRETS.


You can discover the secret life of one of nature’s most beautiful insects with Pete the Bug Man in The Butterfly House. Journey to the heart of our nearest star in Secrets of the Sun. And join scientist Jamie Gallagher for Periodic Success – a guided tour of the explosive secret stories behind the Periodic Table!

A stroll in Einstein’s Garden also brings you…Suns of the Tundra performing a centenary soundtrack to Ernest Shackleton documentary South; Olivia the owl and Hope the hawk captivating audiences of all ages with Hawksdrift Falconry; and Ben Moor performing Each of Us, a poetic and uplifting solo comedy about love, friendship and human connection.

Fairytales, folk, physics and frog sex…

Folk fairytales from Heg & The Wolf Chorus; musical physics with rapper MC Squared in Albert Einstein – Relatively Speaking; interactive retellings of humanity’s most primal stories with Vanessa Woolf; and filthy amphibian sex in Frogs and Friends, a comedic lecture by TV biologist Simon Watt.
