Giants of Rock returns to the Butlins Minehead holiday resort for what promises to be another wonderful winter outing at the end of January (24th – 27th January 2020).

Last years bash was all rather special; read the Festivals For All Giants of Rock 2019 Review for just a taster of what went down over a truly splendid weekend. The 2020 event looks equally as good.

Our FFA Reviewers are becoming rather evangelical about Butlins festival weekends, and its little wonder. Butlins Resorts are tailor made for winter musical breaks, and GoR at Minehead is a classic example. Excellent modern facilities with more amenities, dining and accommodation options than you can shake a stick at, the lovely Minehead town a couple of minutes down the Prom, and some first-class entertainment in large auditoria easily swallowing a few thousand happy souls apiece. A festival scene, indoors, without the mud. What’s not to like?

As for the line-up, 2020 welcomes some true giants of the ‘classic rock’ scene including Procol Harum, Hawkwind, GUN, The Quireboys, Bernie Marsden's Heritage Rock Show, (Ex Whitesnake & UFO), The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Praying Mantis, and Big Country. That’s not the half of it of course, the weekend is packed with loads of classic acts, Rock DJ’s, and some cracking emerging artists from across the rock music spectrum. Throw in all the other Butlins merriment and a throbbing bar scene, and GoR promises, once again, to be a rather special weekend and stunning value for all the goodies in store.
