Giants of Rock festival is back at Butlins Minehead at the end of the month and features some true giants of the Rock scene - with all the benefits of a festival weekend and none of the hassle!

Let’s cut to the chase up front – our FFA Reviewers were mightily impressed with last years 2015 Giants of Rock bash:

“Take some genuine masters of the rock scene and mix with the Butlins experience and the results are awesome. Giants of Rock 2015 was a cracking weekend.”

With an equally strong line-up for 2016 featuring the likes of Ian Hunter and the Rant Band, Procol Harum, Nazareth, Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock, and Wishbone Ash, 2016 promises to be another spot-on weekend jamboree.

Remember that the festival is part of the Butlins Big Weekend offering so includes an excellent range of accommodation and meal options to suit all tastes and price points, and this is Butlins of course, so you are liberty to make full use of the holiday centre’s extensive facilities. For those of you unfamiliar with the ‘Butlins Experience’, our FFA reviewers were blown away with the quality and scope of what a Butlins holiday centre has to offer, and with Minehead town centre a couple of minutes stroll down the Prom, the possibilities for a good time are virtually endless.

Our guys simply loved the whole concept of an indoor festival at a holiday centre; it really is the best of all possible worlds to get your festival fix in deepest darkest winter. There is a real festival vibe throughout the weekend, but with all the benefits of a series of indoor gigs. However it’s much more civilised - with the option to simply recline in your comfy bar seat and drink decent ale to watch the bands in an almost cabaret environment if the rigours of the ample arena dancefloors gets too much. And all without the trudge through the mud back to a cold wet tent!

FFA reviewers will once again be on-site to report on the festivities. If you’ve never tried a Butlins Music Weekend before why not make the festival season 12 months of the year and join them – we think you’ll love the experience!

Line-up Includes: Ian Hunter and the Rant Band, Procol Harum, Nazareth, Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock, Wishbone Ash, Graham Bonnet, Snakecharmer, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Deborah Bonham, Russ Ballard, Mick Ralphs Band, Freebird, Mostly Autumn, and Stray, plus many others.

And on the Introducing Stage: These Wicked Rivers, Maverick, Blood Orange, Eventual Fate, Skam, Trident Waters, No Glory, Madam Guillotine, Seven Sisters, Skarlett Riot, The Raven Age, and Jupiter Falls.
