Galtres Festival is offering FREE festival entry for stewards and crew. Here’s what they have to say:

Green Stewards are recruiting people to work at this year's festival, as one of three volunteering schemes being run this year. And theirs gets you in for free...

We've set up three different volunteering schemes this year for people who want to get involved and help out.

Scheme 1 - volunteer stewards - under this scheme you get free entry to the festival for committing to work three six-hour shifts over the festival weekend - usually one each day. The work is varied but typically involves helping and directing the public, working at entry and exit points, helping at info and merchandise points, etc. This scheme is managed by Green Stewards, and you will need to register with them on their website, where you will also be able to register to work other festivals. You will need to pay a deposit which will be refunded to you after the festival provided you have turned up for your shifts. You will get food and drink while working.

Scheme 2 - volunteer bar staff - under this scheme you buy your entry ticket like everyone else, and offer to work one or more 3-hour shifts in the beer tent over the weekend. The work involves pouring pints of beer or cider for the public. We'll give you a festival T-shirt, and a book of vouchers per shift worked. Each voucher book is worth £17.50 and may be redeemed for food and drink, and other purchases. In total we need 100 volunteer bar staff. To register your interest in volunteering under this scheme, please visit this page of the website.

Scheme 3 - volunteer crew - under this scheme you'll work directly for the event management team, and usually involves working before and after the event, helping with load-in and load-out, as well as during the event.  The package and arrangements are usually made to suit the individuals involved, but typically involves a combination of entry tickets and voucher books for several full days' work. The type of work includes helping to put up marquees, preparing firewood, putting up signs and banners, recycling and composting, selling vouchers and tickets, logistics, litter picking, loading and unloading audio equipment, and artist hospitality.  If you are interested please email visit this page of the website
