Next Spring’s SciFi Weekender - now in its Fourth year - is pleased to announce more guests set to attend next Spring’s thrilling event, which takes place March 1st-3rd at Haven, Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, North Wales.

First up and joining the Sci Fi Weekender, we are pleased to welcome former Doctor Who star, Frazier Hines, best known for his role as Jamie McCrimmon, who appeared regularly  in the show as  Patrick Troughton’s then Doctor’s companion between 1966 and 1969, earning himself a place in the Guinness Book of Records, as the Doctor’s longest serving companion. Frazier also returned to the show in the 1983 episode ‘The Five Doctors’. Frazier has also since continued his relationship with Doctor Who, narrating some of their more recent soundtrack releases put out by BBC Audio.

Joining Frazier at next Spring’s event, we are delighted to announce that we will also be welcoming American urban fantasy and horror writer Stacia Kane - author of the paranormal romance "Personal Demons" and "The Downside Ghosts", as well as her latest book “Sacrificial Magic” - who will join what is already shaping up into being our best event to date!

The SFW team are also extremely pleased to welcome Hugh Howey, author of self-published word-of-mouth phenomenon "Wool”, the much-heralded post-apocalyptic series of books that have set tongues wagging across the globe - the film rights for which have now been snapped up by “Blade Runner” and “Alien” Director/Producer, Ridley Scott.

SFW also welcomes Adam Millard, the author of twelve novels and more than a hundred short stories. Probably best known for his post-apocalyptic fiction, Adam also writes YA horror/fantasy. His work can be found in collections from Angelic Knight Press, May December Publications, KnightWatch Press, Rymfire Books, and Bizarro Press.

All of the above join a cast that already includes Game of Thrones  Richard Madden (Robb Stark) and Jerome Flynn (Bronn), Brian Blessed (who needs no introduction as he has been in everything!), Peter Davison (the fifth Doctor Who), Craig Charles (Red Dwarf’s Dave Lister who will be DJ-ing at our annual ‘Maskerade Ball’), Sam Stone, award-winning Fantasy Author), David J Howe (writer of over 30 titles associated with Dr Who) and, of course, our host – none other than Robert Rankin, the fantasy SciFi Author and legend!

Also joining us at the Sci Fi Weekender - in full attire - will be the Galactic Knights, who bring together Star Wars enthusiasts from across the globe, in full costume, for the duration of the Weekender.

Last, and by no means least, SFW are delighted to announce our Partnership with Forbidden Planet for the Weekender next March, 1-3rd, 2013!  Forbidden Planet is the world’s largest and best-known science fiction, fantasy and cult entertainment retailer and the largest UK stockist of the latest comics and graphic novels & will bring a wealth of quality entertainment & FP product to SFW

The recently renamed ‘Sci Fi Weekender’ team are keener than ever to make next Spring’s event the best to date and want to ensure the entertainment is better than ever before, with a number of exciting imminent announcements still in the pipeline - as well as more entertainment promised than ever before, with Q&As from the guests, readings, screenings, Comedy, Intergalactic pub quizzes and much, much more…
