First wave of acts for Kelburn Garden Party 2020

Scotland’s Kelburn Garden Party has released its first lineup announcement for 2020, including Max Cooper (Live AV), Andrew Weatherall, Henge, FreeLove, The Peatbog Faeries, and The Ragga Twins. Known for its sprawling fairy tale setting - complete with a castle covered in technicolour mural art and an ancient luxuriant glen - the festival’s organisers have handpicked another high-quality and eclectic line-up to complement their multisensory weekender.

Tucked away beside Kelburn Castle, the futuristic Landing Stage will cement its reputation as an exciting and unique stage for electronic music. Max Cooper brings his critically acclaimed live audio/visual project Yearning for the Infinite - an expansive rendering of our data driven world that last year saw a stint in The Barbican - while the festival’s bass heads are catered to by drum n’ bass legend DJ Aphrodite and 140BPM staples 24 Hour Garage Girls , while cult producer Andrew Weatherall will close the stage.

Scotland’s homegrown talent is championed by synth pop duo Free Love , Celtic fusion darlings The Peatbog Faeries, and the nation’s favourite part-time band - elected by BBC 4 in 2016 - the ska outfit Bombskare, fresh jazz-fusioneers Coro Alto and fast-rising rockers Miracle Glass Company

Building on the festival’s ongoing commitment to exposing its attendees to groundbreaking music around the world, Kelburn invites back DJ Kampire , one of East Africa’s leading musical exports and a key figure in Kampala’s Nyege Nyege collective, while also presenting a set from West African inspired group Onipa , who release their debit album on the acclaimed Strut label this year.

Kelburn Garden Party takes place from Friday 3rd - Monday 6th July at the Stunning Kelburn Castle.
