First acts for Cropredy

Fairport's Cropredy Convention has announced the first acts for next year's festival including Fairport Convention and Levellers.  The festival will take place from Thursday 9th - Saturday 11 August. 2018 at Cropredy, nr Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Cropredy 2018 will feature two sets by host band Fairport Convention. They will open the festival on Thursday with a short acoustic set then close the event on Saturday to close the event with their traditional two-hour headline set.

Friday’s headline act will be Levellers who are celebrating their thirtieth anniversary year and making a welcome return to Cropredy. This legendary folkrock powerhouse, winners of the prestigious 'Festival Feel-Good Act' award, will play an exuberant set.

Others added to the bill include Scottish singer-songwriter Al Stewart, former Marillion frontman Fish,  Also joining the 2018 line up are award-winning band Le Vent du Nord, Radio 2 Folk Award winner Sam Kelly and Richard Digance returns to his traditional Saturday

As always Cropredy will present a set by the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award winner.
