GLOBAL LOCAL; the producers of the most rocking festival stages across the globe are excited to announce the final bands and DJ’s added to the already bursting, top quality line up at this year’s LONDON REMIXED FESTIVAL.
Party power houses and long standing partners including Movimientos, Two For Joy, Wormfood, The London Folk Guild and Kazum will all be showcasing their own variety of remixed talent in one of three venues in the hubbub of London’s trendy East End.
Taking place on November 24, 2012, LRF is the only end of season festival, brought to you by the biggest and best festival organisers, venue promoters and music agencies the UK has to offer. We promise this to be the after party of all after parties, bringing the best remixed talent to the capital, fresh from the dusty/muddy fields of 2012’s coolest festivals. LRF will host a live musical cocktail of Global London, remixed for the 21st Century. From Roma to rumba, Latin beats to Afro funk, Nu folk to no folk, London Remixed Festival is a celebration of the best emerging musical talent.
Not only do they have the legendary Polka Tent straight from Bestival where Gypsy and Hoedown mayhem will ensue at Bedroom Bar. Movimientos’ Latin Quarter will be shaking it on down at Village Underground, and at Rich Mix, Wormfood will be wriggling with the African Rootmaster downstairs. That’s not all! London’s finest Folk promoters and programmers of the highly praised second stage at the Wilderness Festival, The London Folk Guild, present the Acoustic Boutique Campsite upstairs at Rich Mix this year. Complete with hay bales, tents, artisan ales and farmers cider, this is the place to check out rising nu-folk heroes.
Over the years Continental Drifts/Global Local have supported 100s of up and coming bands, including household names such as Florence and the Machine, Muse and Mumford and Sons, who all lost their festival virginity on their stages.
They aim to create the perfect festival experience; indoor camping areas to chill out in and drinks available from one of many bars. Bonus treats include the ridiculously fun Disco Lift and a Walking Musical Taxi Parade!
Continental Drifts/Global Local are all about creating a buzzing atmosphere, they have put together some of the best line ups at the UK’s greatest, biggest and most loved festivals such as Bestival, Shangri La at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Secret Garden, Wilderness, Big Chill, Boomtown, Festival Number 6 and Glade amongst others. Their successful White Mink electro swing night just won ‘The best party of last month’ in Mix Magazine.
