The Great Escape today completes its line-up for 2014, bringing the total of artists to over 400, a record for the 3-day taste making festival. In just over six weeks, Europe’s biggest festival for new music will take over 35 venues across the city, bringing 18,000 music lovers with it. 

Amongst today’s 100+ additions is Danish phenomenon , chart topping crossover act Clean Bandit as well as a solo appearance from Jess Glyne, who provided vocals for “Rather Be”,electronic soul quartet Little Dragon and resplendent NYC rapper/producer LE1F. Munich synthpop machine Claire and psychedelic Oxfordshire four-piece and Paul Epworth collaborators Glass Animals also join today.

Jazz futurists BadBadNotGood and London producer Blue Daisey will give their respective takes on hip-hop, whilst New York based Drowners are today confirmed on the same bill as a member of the band who inspired their name, with Suede guitaristBernard Butler’s Trans also set to perform.

Since its inception 9 years ago, we have always maintained that the foremost objective of the festival is to produce an internationally-reaching programme that is genuinely representative of the full spectrum of emerging talent in music. I think we’ve achieved that. There is so much incredible talent out there, we are honoured to showcase as much of it as we can at The Great Escape. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the festival in May!”
