Farmfest is celebrating their impressive milestone with a plethora of nostalgic birthday themed treats and massive fancy dress over 2 days of ‘Flashback fever’. A retro-tinted throwback to all that was good, and bad, about 10th birthdays, when you turned BIG and everything was bright and colourful (unless you were a goth).

Birthday goodies include a new comedy, spoken word and talks tent headed up by Eddie Argos of Art Brut fame (shedding light on how to form a band and become famous) and the best in the new wave of alternative comedy curated by Bristol Punchline, featuring Perrier newcomer award winner Wil Hodgson, and Phil Jerrod. You'll have opportunities to try your hand at writing poetry with local poet Paul Tobin, the pop-up cinema returns and you can align your chakras at the yoga and sound bath sessions with Will Wheeler and Otto Haddad. If all that sounds a little too cerebral you'll be delighted with Saturday afternoon's offering of party games on an epic scale; including giant present wrapping, pro musical statues, face painting challenges, music bingo and ballon hat making with Lucy Lost-it. And Plunge Theatre return with a weird and wonderful birthday party – set in the sugary-sweet world of Plunge's quaint little tea room, there'll be games, song, dance and CAKE like you've never seen before.

The famous kids tent, renamed 'Blue Skies, Beetroot and Birthdays' will as ever be bursting at the seams with arts and crafts activities for toddlers to tweenies; make farm animal friend puppets in 'make and take' sessions, create musical instruments from recyclable materials and join in the Singaling workshops, practice your circus skills on The Green or have a dance to Robyn Howe's whistle stop tour of West End Shows. Peas in a Pod deliver yoga based storytelling as well as hot chocolate and bedtime stories, Global Foolishness will be back with a family pirate show and it'll all be topped off with the Duhig Family Disco, Farmfest's resident children’s DJ!

As well as all this the entire site will be getting a great big birthday makeover.

Creative Director Rachel had this to say: “To compliment the great mix of music and entertainment that make up this year's line-up, we’re working with an eclectic team of artists and designers from Bristol, London and beyond. Whether through installations or interactive pieces, we’re looking forward to them bringing even more colour, light and style to the party.”

Amongst all that, The Farmfest Annual Hat Competition HATEGORIES have been announced as well!
