The beautiful Gilcombe Farm, home to Farmfestival, has been given the green light by a drainage expert. According to the expert it contains high levels of natural drainage so it will be able to withstand rain leading up to and during their event before bad conditions occur.  

Solid ground is expected at Farmfestival next weekend due to "the combination of mature root development that has structured the soil, the underlying sandstone geology and the protective layer of surface organic matter".

The sports turf drainage specialist, STRI Ltd, look after Wembley stadium, are in charge of Olympic venues and were responsible for last month's Euro 2012. Charles Henderson, of STRI Ltd, carried out an assessment of the site, looking at existing grass cover and drainage levels of existing soil...

Brighton indie starlets, Tall Ships, have been added to the Friday line-up having released their new single, Gallop, this week.

They are releasing their first album Everything Touching on the 5th October on Big Scary Monsters. Completing the line-up is Beardyman's Mc, Klumzy Tung and More Like Trees (recently signed to BBE records).
