Farmfest have gone further than they’ve ever gone before with their arts and activities offerings for 2014 with a space themed Milky Way area hosting a galaxy full of out of this world activities for kids of all ages including giant rocket ship building, Art Macabre drawing Salons, Bowie make-overs, Screen Test Pop-up Cinema, music and movement sessions, Plunge Theatre and, of course, the famous Hat Competition!

Calling all Space Cadets!

From another planet Baaa Baaaa away the Space Cadets, travelling for 27,000 light years in search of Planet Fluff and its small stuffed bear-like inhabitants, got lost somewhere near the Galactic Center of our Solar System – Bruton.

Are YOU ready to become a Space Cadet? On Aug 1st 2014 the Space Cadets will land in Bruton, Somerset and will be offering a whole galaxy of out of this world activities in Farmfest’s very own Milky Way giving you the opportunity to earn your own Space Cadet Stripes. Build a 'packed launch' in the Race to Space, turn your mate into a Bowie masterpiece at the Beat The Clock Make-over Session or master the art of hooping with one of Jupiters rings!

Children’s Area The cow has jumped over the moon in the legendary Children’s Area and cordially invites mini Space Cadets to join him in a fun packed weekend of arts and crafts, story-telling, music and movement, magic shows and more!

Help the cow craft his giant rocket ship with papier-mache and paint, or learn how to spot the extra-terrestrials by making an alien mask, or by drawing them with the wonderful Art Macabre! Then join Farmfest’s Space Purveyor and guru Laura as she tells our favourite twinkle rhyme space story time, using well-loved children’s space themed stories.

Frome's fabulous Sing-a-Ling will be offering music and movement sessions for pre-schoolers plus be sure to save some moonbeams for the return of the Children’s Disco!

More relaxing space oddities Once you’ve earnt your stripes take refuge in the chillout area: Barbarellas Boudoir. Paint yourself in the style of an alien with body painters and enjoy the delights of Plunge Theatre as they wow you with a cake shop and live theatre.
